Our Mission

Clínica Latina is a free clinic for individuals who do not have health insurance and/or live below 200% of the national poverty level. The clinic is presently run on the campus of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. The present healthcare system is not fully capable of enrolling all these individuals, so there is great demand for the health care services that Clínica Latina offers. In addition to offering health care services, Clínica Latina also offers educational experiences to the people who volunteer in the clinic. We have an interdisciplinary learning opportunity offered to the PA, dental, and medical students of Augusta University.

We treat all patients that qualify without discrimination of race, age, gender, sexual identity, or documentation status. We offer services like any other health center and we strive to give our patients the best care we can provide. An added component to our clinic is that of interpreting services for Hispanic patients. We have also grown to include women’s health and will be expanding our level of prenatal care.

We book appointments via phone call, email, and text message and take walk-ins (when available) every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month excluding holidays.

Our Adult Care Services

—Acute Care Services: We treat non-emergent acute issues, such as rashes, the common cold, headaches, and earchaches

—Well Care: We provide annual well adult exams

—Chronic Care: We are able to care for chronic problems that require regular visits such as hypertension and diabetes

—Other Specialty Care Services: We are able to perform rapid HIV testing, pap smears, and mammograms

—Our team is skilled in referring patients to specialty care sites including Women’s Health

—Labs: We are partnered with offsite laboratoy sites

—We provide point of care ultrasound for basic health issues

—We offer in-house Spanish interpretation services
