ALAS Executive Board
President: Vilma Colon-Oliver:
Mrs. Vilma Colon-Oliver is a local real estate agent working for Meybohm Realty. She first became involved with Clinica Latina through our interpreting services but later decided to become part of the board as she saw the great potential of the organization to help bring medical care to underserved populations. She has been an indispensable member of the board due to her area of expertise, especially in the acquisition of the outpatient center space Centro Medico.
Vice-President / Research Director: Ingrid Camelo, MD, MPH, FAAP
Dr. Camelo, MD, MPH, FAAP is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric Infectious Diseases, practicing at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a commitment to providing high-quality and respectful care to every patient in need. Her leadership and mentoring will provide those who volunteer at Centro Medico with the highest standards.
Medical Director: Juan Rivera-Salva, MD
Dr. Rivera is board certified in family medicine practicing at WellStar MCG. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and is dedicated to serving the uninsured community in the CSRA. He is also passionate about teaching and mentoring health professional students. His commitment to this community and the mission of ALAS makes him a pillar of the community.
Treasurer: Mayland Reilly, MS, EdD
Mayland Reilly, MS, ED has been on the board since 2022 and has worked in medical education for over 30 years. She has a passion for encouraging medical students to be the best version of themselves.
Secretary: Amber Casado, MPAS
Amber Casado is a certified physician assistant and assistant professor at Augusta University, where she teaches and mentors future healthcare providers. She has a strong background in and is passionate about mentorship, medical education, and health equity. Her academic and clinical work focuses on health equity, inclusive care, and supporting underrepresented populations. Through ALAS, Amber is committed to advancing access, advocacy, and quality of healthcare for the local community.
